Several nuclear medicine examinations may add functional information to the anatomic and enhancement characterization of liver lesions by other radiologic tests. Here are examples of the functional information that can be depicted in nuclear medicine imaging:
- Tc99m Mebrofenin (HIDA) – Hepatic Extraction / Biliary Excretion
- Tc99m Sulfur Colloid – Reticuloendothelial Function
- Tc99m-labeled Red Blood Cells – Blood Pool Distribution
